Charges on the bill that I was told were reversed. In fact, there were issues with the stay on every level. Let me begin that I was extremely dissatisfied with my stay this past weekend at the KCI Marriott. She offers 10% and I say fine-that AND the points. No mention of how many points, so how would I know if it's satisfactory? No, I say, I want a 20% discount. Laura Schlessinger comes on and says she'll give me membership points. I am put on hold abruptly, no, "Let me transfer you" or anything like that. I say, never mind, I want a discount on this room. I'm no longer dressed, and they want to send a man to my room. I call the front desk and they say they'll call maintenance. Now it's 12:30am and I want to watch half an hour of Seinfeld to relax-but the TV remote doesn't work. I make tea instead, and refill my lemonade glass with tap water. I order a chicken quesadilla and a lemonade (about a half cup of liquid on ice): $21. The food is in the bar-a far-too-brightly lit, raucously noisy area, and not a single person is masked. I call the front desk, tell them I am a Bonvoy Club member, and they say I have to be a "Titanium level" member to get free water-for me it’s $2.50 per tiny bottle. In my $200 room, not a single bottle of water. At the hotel no one is masked, not even the staff. Kansas City is a hotbed of Covid Delta variant. It arrives, driver unmasked, packed, with passengers also unmasked. At the airport, after 11pm, I call for the hotel shuttle.
